Six short steps. Read them in order. The point is not to collect beliefs — it is to know what people mean by Gnosis, which doorway you are standing in, and where to spend a first week without getting lost.

  1. What Gnosis means here

    On First Order Gnosis, gnosis means experiential knowledge: something verified in consciousness, not only agreed to as a doctrine. Schools differ on method and cosmology. They share the claim that a human being can know, directly, rather than only hear about the sacred.

  2. Two living streams

    Practical Gnosis usually names the modern esoteric path associated with Samael Aun Weor — psychology, transmutation, meditation, and daily inner work — as presented by groups such as Glorian, Chicago Gnosis, AGEAC, and VOPUS.

    Classical points to the ancient libraries and churches: the Nag Hammadi scriptures, and liturgical lineages such as Ecclesia Gnostica associated with Stephan A. Hoeller.

    These are neighboring maps, not the same school. Read the traditions page before you treat one teacher as the whole field.

    • Day 6 — Return to the same hub; resist the urge to shop teachers.
    • Day 7 — Rest. Decide whether the path still feels honest.
